On Wednesday 17th August Chandran Nair, CEO and Founder of GIFT, was invited by BBC HARDtalk’s Stephen Sakur, one of the UK's most respected journalists, to talk about his new book, “Consumptionomics: Asia’s role in reshaping capitalism and saving the planet.”
The topic of tonight’s HARDtalk: Will free market capitalism make or break Asia? The show was filmed yesterday and already it’s been described by producers as a lively and informative discussion which made a great programme.
Joining Mr Nair in the discussion was former chief economist at the IMF, current economic advisor to the Prime Minister of India, and award-winning expert in the finance of economic growth -  Dr. Raghuram Rajan. Dr. Rajan is currently Professor of Finance at the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business.
