Green Growth, Resources and Resilience: Environmental Sustainability in Asia and the Pacific

The Asian policy landscape is characterised by a changing economic reality, rising demand for resources, higher impacts on the environment and climate change, and growing risk and uncertainty.
In this joint report by the UN Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific, the Asian Development Bank and the UN Environment Programme, trends in the use of resources in the Asia-Pacific region are outlined, as are economic incentives for adaptive approaches to help align economic growth strategies better with the objective of sustainable development. It also describes ways to improve resilience to the increasing levels of risk faced by societies and economies.
